When we first opened our doors to the world about six months ago, it was with excited curiosity that we dove into the t-shirt manufacturing retail business.
The love and passion that we have for our classic marijuana inspired designs was firmly rooted in the originality and history surrounding the artwork. As the winds of destiny would have it, the lives of us at Ganja Outpost have been intertwined with one of America’s original Ganja Smugglers of the 1970’s. After taking big risks early in his life and living to tell the tale we finally convinced him to allow us to relate his story and turn what was a private collection of artwork based around his early exploits into a clothing and artwork line.
When we first launched the line, we did so with a simple, in-your-face marijuana leaf logo. (Seen below)

Our first Logo
After the first print of shirts we quickly realized that not everyone was willing, or able for that matter, to be as brash and in the open with their love of ganja as we as the creators of the gear would have imagined. Unfortunately as we all know, the archaic laws that surround the gift that is cannabis preclude many of us from being able to voice our passion for bud.
In response to this, we knew that our second shirt print would have to include a logo for our newly formed company that could somehow stay true to our mission while providing a level of discretion for fans of our clothing. After a lot of creative tests, we finally settled on a logo and went to print with our first established line.

Our Logo’s second Incarnation
After launching our second logo our response was positively charged. MANY of you have expressed to us how much you love the combination of the hidden ganja leaf and tropical, bamboo-styled company branding. However, we have at the same time received messages from many of you who really love our classic marijuana and counter culture designs, but either can’t wear our shirts anywhere outside of your house without being hassled, or feel uncomfortable doing so in your towns and neighborhoods.
In short, it was quickly becoming clear to us at Ganja Outpost, that though so many of you love the artwork that we reproduce here at the Outpost, our branding had unexpectedly become a deterrent to your passion for our classic pot gear.
So what’s the outcome????
We listened to all of you!
We have redesigned our logo to allow any one of you out there to wear the hottest new counter culture gear available on the market. Our intention with the new logo was to create something that you can proudly wear anywhere from your local grocery store to a jam band concert with thousands of other like minded spirits. The logo is not nearly as pro-marijuana as our first logo designs, but we have the intention to use our new Outpost clothing logo to spark an underground association among heads who know that the hut on the beach serves a visual beacon for those who want to stand-up for the for all things counter-culture while still remaining at least moderately anonymous.
For those of you who really loved our original logo don’t fret! The original Ganja Outpost logo will continue to be offered in our online store on select shirts until all inventory for the old logo are totally sold out. So get your hands on them now! Also, for our hardcore fans, remember that you can still proudly wear any of our hardcore pot designs including the Marijuana Shirt and the Maui Wowie Shirt!
Let us know what you think!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
